Curves has a diet verified by research featuring commonsense eating and a unique way to raise your metabolism when you stop dieting.
Unlike most diets, the Curves diet has no maintenance phase. The reason most diets ultimately fail is that after as little as three days dieting, your body starts to produce starvation hormones that cause your body to use fewer calories.
This not only causes you to plateau when you are dieting, but it is why the weight that was lost is often put back on faster than it came off.
In fact, many times women will even continue to gain weight so that they weigh more than they did when they started the diet. The diet is described in the Member Handbook. It can be undertaken as an individual or in a group.
These dieting groups are called the ‘six week challenge’ and are usually run three times a year.
